Choosing the Right Cigars for You

Cigar lengths and ring sizes can affect the taste of a cigar, along with the cigar filler and wrapper used. The best way to choose which cigar suites you, is to learn about the differences and take the time to try the different types of cigars. If you are a beginner smoker, don't be afraid to ask questions and don't be intimidated by the seasoned cigar smoker.

There are many reasons cigars all taste different. Including the wrapper, blend, the country of origin and the region the tobacco is grown. A good tip for beginners, is to start with a mild cigar and work your way up to a bold, full-flavored cigar. Your tasted buds will not be ready for a cigar so strong when you first begin.

Many cigar smokers have different habits while choosing and smoking a cigar. Some people prefer to smoke mild cigars in the afternoon and strong cigars to end their day. Many cigar smokers tend to smoke a full flavored cigar after a great meal.

Another good tip for beginners is to smoke your cigar when you have time to enjoy it and relax. Cigars are made to enjoy over a period of time, and running around or smoking in a stressful environment will take away from the pleasure of smoking your cigar.

There are three basic types of cigars, hand made, machine made and hand rolled.

Hand made cigars tend to be more expensive and typically what any cigar aficionado prefers. A handmade cigar is entirely made by hand with no machinery involved.

Machine Made cigars are less expensive, and you can find them in many convenient stores. These cigars are produces completely by machines and tend to use the scrap tobacco from premium cigars.

The last type of cigar is the hand rolled cigar. This process involves both machines, who bind the filler and person who completes the cigar rolling process.
